Alexandra & Frank

Alexandra and Frank's wedding reception was just the second I’ve photographed with a mariachi band. With that said, I have now come to the conclusion that ALL WEDDINGS NEED TO HAVE A MARIACHI BAND! They were amazing!
I’ve also come to the conclusion that Alexandra and Frank's wedding was one of my all-time favorites to capture. It was such a festive atmosphere. Thank you so much for choosing me to document your special day.

Stephanie & Arthur

Thank you Stephanie and Arthur for such a great session at Malibu Creek State Park! Arthur might just be the chillest little guy I've ever met. You guys made this such an enjoyable photo shoot!

Meaghan & Zach

Meaghan and Zach planned a beautiful wedding in picturesque Sayulita, Mexico, a village brimming with big waves, warm people and vibrant colors. It's basically the best place in the world to get married especially for these surf loving love birds. But what they didn't plan for was Meaghan getting sick on the morning of her wedding.

I always tell my couples no matter how meticulous you are planning your wedding something will probably go slightly awry. For example, I've seen a best man lose the wedding ring, a band an hour late because they got lost on the way to the reception and now I can add a bride waking up sick on her wedding day. But in my experience all of these major anxiety inducers turned out to be minor headaches and a great story to tell the kids someday. And that's exactly what happened on this occasion. Meaghan and Zach got married overlooking the ocean and a sea of smiling faces. The wedding and reception were beautiful and the couple celebrated with friends and family all night. It was a wonderful day and this story definitely had a happy ending.

Meg & Dougal

Wedding photographers tend to overuse the word "magical" when describing their couple's big day. I may have done it a few times myself. With that said, I can't think of a better word that captures the feeling of Meg and Dougal's ceremony.

Trees wrapped in thousands of white lights illuminated Plant Food + Wine's cozy back patio where Meg & Dougal exchanged their vows in front of glowing family and friends. It truly was magical.

Congratulations Meg & Dougal and may your life together be as magical as your wedding day.

Addy & Chuy

I knew right away I wanted to be Addy and Chuy's wedding photographer. And it wasn't just because they said the wedding would take place in the Santa Monica Mountains...overlooking the Malibu Coast...with mariachi band...and a food truck! But it was because when I first met them they were incredibly warm and kind and made me feel more than their wedding photographer but a friend. I guess the mariachi band helped, too!

I couldn't be happier for you, Addy and Chuy. Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer. It was a pleasure being a part of your big day.

Devyn & Brad

There is a lot that I will always remember about Devyn and Brad's wedding day. The quaint town of San Juan Capistrano, the beautiful venue at Franciscan Gardens, and the fiddler playing Irish folk songs.  I will remember how happy and excited the couple's family and friends were for them. But most of all, I will always remember the way Devyn and Brad looked at each other. The smiles never left their faces.

It was an honor to be Devyn and Brad's photographer and I hope my photography is something that will help them remember their beautiful day.

Oliver & Elliott

Oliver and Elliott's mom had a simple request, all she wanted was just one photo of her boys smiling. Thanks to the incredibly energetic Oliver and Elliott and a beautiful Southern California sunset I think we made their mom happy!

Sierra, Bryce, Tracy & Tyler

I met Sierra, Bryce, Tracy and Tyler at the Santa Monica Pier one beautiful evening in December. As the sun went down I began getting nervous we'd miss our opportunity to take advantage of the gorgeous light from the sunset. There was obviously no reason to be nervous. The lighting was perfect and so were they. Sierra and Bryce's energy made for wonderful photos! We even managed to grab some nice shots after the sun went down.

The Walpoles

When our family moved to Santa Monica some of the first people to welcome us were Adrienne, Josh and little Nash.  Their friendship made the transition so much easier. About a year later we learned the Walpoles were packing up and moving to Austin so we were happy to fit in one last lunch and then send them off with a quick photo shoot. The pizza may have made Nash a little tired so he wasn't quite in the mood to have his picture taken but he braved the shoot long enough anyway to give us a few handsome smiles.

We miss you guys and hope you're enjoying your time in Austin!

The Reeds

Thank you very much to Jacqueline, Mason, Poppy and especially the newest member of the Reeds, Mason Jr., for inviting me into their home to photograph their family.

2014 Crispin Porter + Bogusky Summer Party

Last summer the advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky managed to escape their office for the day to make a break for the beautiful Malibu Cafe to blow off a little steam. With a gorgeous location, blue skies and beer pong, it was the perfect day. Thank you for letting me be your photographer CP+B! I hope you had as good of time as I did and judging by the photographs I'd say you did!

Hello Santa Monica!

The Fannings have moved to beautiful Santa Monica, California! Actually, we've been here for a little over a year but after taking a bit of a hiatus off to be a super-stay-at-home dad I'm ready to photograph other people besides my daughters!

So if you live in-between the Hollywood Sign and the Pacific Ocean and would like to hire a relatively cool photographer to photograph your family, wedding, corporate event or headshot please feel free to contact me because, as luck would have it, I'm relatively cool and a photographer!

Lila

Lila and my daughter Elise were both born on the same day and in the same hospital to a pair of the happiest parents in the world. Just few months later our path's would cross again when we met at Boulder, Colorado's Coot Lake to capture their family photos.

Thank you so much Anthony, Amy and Lila for choosing me as your photographer. I hope you enjoy!

Julia & Ryan

On a sunny Sunday morning where temperatures struggled to stay above zero,  Julia, Ryan and I braved the elements to capture their engagment photos at Boulder, Colorado's picturesque Chautauqua Park. A few months later and a hundred degrees hotter we met again at the University of Colorado's Koenig Alumni Center where I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding day.

Julia and Ryan, thank you very much for entrusting me to document your special day. I hope you love your photos as much as I loved taking them.
